ITP is a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to bring the opportunity, inspiration, and joy of musical performance to as wide a community as possible.
We offer performance opportunities to amateur singers and specialise in classical music, operetta, and music theatre. ITP is committed to promoting great singing and producing shows of the highest quality whilst providing a broad range of educational opportunities to develop performance skills and confidence. All events are open to the public and can range in size from performing in small community halls to full-scale theatre productions. We also encourage the development of backstage skills for those who prefer not to tread the boards. Our experience shows the benefits of participation to our performers are wide-ranging - both in musical performance and also providing numerous life benefits.
The group was started in 2016 by Amanda and Philip O'Brien. ITP has 5 Directors and is aided by many hours of voluntary support.
To find out moreSummer productions are open to anyone who wishes to audition and will be cast from amateur singers in the local area. Every potential cast member will perform a very simple meet & greet audition and will then be invited to join the company. These simple auditions can be tailored to ensure anyone has access to the opportunity, no matter their background or experience. ITP are interested in offering opportunities to anyone who shows potential, interest and enthusiasm from the local area or who otherwise would be unable to access this type of opportunity. Bursaries for singing lessons are available for performers who show potential. The cast then works with expert musicians, stage management and production teams to create each performance and takes voice coaching to prepare each event. Smaller events are usually prepared in singing lessons.
