Meet the team

Imagine That Productions draws together a cast of amateur performers to work with expert musicians, stage management and production teams, putting together shows of the highest quality. Leading the team and working with the cast from start to finish are Philip and Amanda O’Brien.

Philip O’Brien – Director

Philip O’Brien studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, becoming a Wolfson Scholar and winning the Patrick Libby prize for Acting.  After an international career as an operatic tenor, he now combines his passion as an educator with his expertise and talent as a voice coach at Haslemere Singing Studio. Philip is the Artistic Director of Imagine That Productions and as Director he excels at bringing out the best in his performers, putting them at ease on stage and helping them to capture the imaginations of their audience.

Justin Luke – Musical Director

Justin has worked with Imagine That Productions for a number of years as accompanist or MD for their many and varied shows. Alongside this Justin regularly works with Haslemere Players, is Head of Music at Amesbury School in Hindhead and is Sub-Organist of The Queen’s Chapel of the Savoy.

Tom Wilson – Meet one of our Directors!

Tom’s partnership with Philip O’Brien began in 2005 when they worked together with Tom as Stage Manager and Philip as Director on Franz Lehar’s  Merry Widow, Richard Strauss’ Die Fledermaus (The Bat) and Gilbert & Sulivan’s Pirates of Penzance at King Edward’s School Witley. When not working in the theatre, Tom managed to fit in a PhD in Physics at Imperial College London and has most recently worked for Lloyd Webber at the Really Useful group. He also enjoys playing the guitar in his spare time.

Amanda O’Brien – Company Manager

A classically-trained mezzo-soprano, Amanda O’Brien combines a busy teaching schedule with her work supporting ITP. She currently teaches not only at Haslemere Singing Studio but also at schools around the Haslemere area. Like Philip she has a passion for drama as well as singing and she brings that experience to her work with Imagine That Productions.
